IMG In Depth: Millennials

Lazy, entitled, narcissistic, noncommittal — these are just a few of many terms often used to stereotype the Millennial generation. However, you simply can’t define tens of millions of young adults at different stages of life with one broad stroke. There are Millennials who are still in high school, while others have a family and career. When accessing Millennials there are certain variables that shouldn’t be overlooked, yet at the same time there are constants when it comes to how they were raised.

In this segment we’ll take a look at how the Millennial worldview is primarily shaped and impacted, and of course what Christian Millennials think about a future for Israel and whether or not Israel still matters today.

Interview: J.D. Lemming

As we continue to look at how Millennials look at life, the church, and Israel, we are joined by J.D. Lemming. J.D. wrote in our recent issue of Israel My Glory about Millennials and why this generation has an affinity for social justice.

J.D. is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and a graphic designer. In fact, every issue of Israel My Glory is designed by J.D. We’re happy to have him on the program this week.

Apples of Gold

Zvi began working in a Jerusalem hospital and soon after starting, he ran into a man who was not well. God began to make it very clear why Zvi was there with this man, also a Polish Jewish man, at this time. The man’s life-story was filled with wrong decisions and consequences but as you will hear, made the saving grace of the gospel even sweeter.

Zvi’s story is available in Elwood McQuaid’s book, “Zvi: The Miraculous Story of Triumph over the Holocaust,” available at our online store.

More stories from Zvi are also available in his book, “The Best of Zvi,” available at our online store.

Music

The Friends of Israel Today and Apples of Gold theme music was composed and performed by Jeremy Strong.
