The Parables of Jesus, Part 3
This week we finish out our three-part series on the parables of Jesus. Chris takes us to Luke 15:1-7. Here we find the parable of the lost sheep. We’ll see how the shepherd leaves his entire flock to find the one wayward sheep.
Is this how we see the wayward world today? Do we pray for them to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus? Or are we quick to judge and close off our lives from them? Chris will remind us of Jesus’ example and how when one wayward sheep comes home, heaven rejoices.

Why Did Jesus Speak in Parables?
It’s safe to say that the disciples were probably confused as to why Jesus spoke in parables instead of just telling His followers what He was trying to say. There were different reasons as to why Jesus spoke in parables. Chris explains one of the reasons was to teach on prophecy, or future events. He’ll take us to Luke 14:16-24 where Jesus teaches the parable on the Great Banquet.

While Zvi was in America he met an Orthodox man and became quick friends. A few weeks later, back in Israel another Orthodox man came to Zvi and said his friend who he met in America sent him. Zvi made friends with him and shared in the Old Testament Scriptures where he could find true joy.
