November 16, 2019 | Can a Christian Lose Their Salvation?

As the year comes to a close, we want to share with you an opportunity to impact lives through this radio/podcast ministry. We need to raise $10,000 to meet our financial goals for this year.

Would you prayerfully consider a gift so we can continue to bring these truths to you and others as well?

HELP US MEET OUR GOAL

Eternal Security

Can a Christian lose their salvation? We’re covering eternal security this week on the program. The Bible says when we become believers in Jesus the Messiah we become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). God’s free gift of salvation cannot be taken away. It is not a conditional gift. God’s Word also says that our flesh is at war with this new creation (Romans 7). The struggle with our desires happens whether you have been a believer in Jesus for 10 minutes or 80 years. But we will learn today that we will always struggle on this side of heaven, but that struggle cannot touch the work God did in saving you.

There is a peace we can have as believers, knowing that God holds our salvation in His hands. If we are a genuine believer in Jesus, there is nothing we can do to be separated from Him. This fact does not mean we have a license to live our life the way we want, but instead it should put us in a state of thankfulness. The God of the universe chose us, wretched sinners, to become His sons and daughters through no work of our own, but instead through the work Jesus the Messiah did on the cross.

Apples of Gold: How Can We Believe in Jesus and Still Say We are Jews?

After living in Israel for 36 years, Zvi could walk down the street and be recognized by many. Some greeted him warmly, others greeted him with scorn and ridicule. One man stopped and looked at him in shock and said, “Are you still alive? People like you should be dead!” When Zvi replied by sharing his faith in Jesus, the man accused him of believing in a new religion. With a crowd around him, Zvi explained to them that believing in Jesus was not something new but something God talked about in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Zvi’s story is available in Elwood McQuaid’s book, “Zvi: The Miraculous Story of Triumph over the Holocaust,” available at our online store.

More stories from Zvi are also available in his book, “The Best of Zvi,” available at our online store.

Music

The Friends of Israel Today and Apples of Gold theme music was composed and performed by Jeremy Strong.

  1. Shalom,

In January of this year, I spoke to Louis Johnson about Friends of Israel including three of my children’s books, SAMSON AT THE OLYMPICS, LOKAEL: THE DONKEY WHO CARRIED JESUS and TAMIN: THE PASSOVER LAMB. She said I should send them, which I did. I am contacting you as a followup and to inform you that my business website email has been out of service. Please use my personal email to correspond. I am eager to find out if you can use my books in your ministry.

    Blessings,

    Leland P Gamson
